Pembrokeshire Area and Activities around Tenby and Saundersfoot
There are so many things to do in the Tenby and Saundersfoot area:
If you thrive on activity you will have a great time in Tenby and the surrounding areas. Why not visit HEATHERTON SPORTS PARK where you can enjoy horse riding, go karting, laser gun and pistol shooting, archery, paintballing, crazy golf and much more! Also within a short drive you can go quad biking, ten pin bowling, have fun at OAKWOOD THEME PARK, or take the kids to FOLLY FARM, MANOR HOUSE or the DINOSAUR PARK
For those of you who prefer a proper round of GOLF, we have TWO courses in Tenby, enough to challenge even the best golfers! If it is indoor sport you want, TENBY LEISURE CENTRE is nearby, where you can swim (in a pool), take part in an Aerobics session or have a game of badminton.
Why not take a boat trip to CALDEY ISLAND where you can buy perfume and goods made by the local monks. From Tenby Harbour there are also various cruises along the coast, so that you can admire the glorious beaches and the local inhabitants, including birds and seals! If you want a hands on at sea experience, try surfing, wind-surfing, sailing or a spot of sea fishing again from Tenby Harbour.
For an alternative experience take a 15 minute walk from the Guest House to Silent World Housed in a 19th Century chapel there are many creepy crawlies for you to discover!!!!!. This is one of the few indoor activities in Tenby.
If all you want to do is relax and enjoy the sun, there is nowhere better than one of the fantastic stretches of beach either in Tenby itself or at any of the beaches along the beautiful coast away from Tenby.
History and Culture are also on offer in the Tenby area with several castles, a cheese making centre, various potteries, gardens, steam railways and even a vineyard which produces Welsh wine!, all just a short drive from the guest house.
Alternatively, we have the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path for you to ramble along within a few minutes walk from the guest house. You can go left for Saundersfoot or right to Tenby take your pick!!!!! We take an interest in our guests and have been given Welcome Walkers and Welcome Cyclists awards. For help with your bicycle or to hire a bike for you and your party visit the local shop, Tenby Cycles.
Finally, why not just take a walk into Tenby and have a look around. From Castle Hill, you can stand and admire the view of the coast around from Tenby to Swansea, and on a particularly clear day you can even see Cornwall!! By night you can relax and watch the moon shining over the sea, as the waves splash onto one of the four beautiful beaches in Tenby. That alone is enough to bring you back to Tenby, time and time again.

You will be spoilt for choice in the Tenby area for castles here are just a few a short drive away from the Guest House.
Carew Castle and Tidal Mill
A Castle with a history spanning 2000 years. - 7 miles from the guest house and 15 minutes drive.
Pembroke Castle
Birth place of Henry VII – 11 miles from the guest house and 20 minutes drive.
Picton Castle
Home of the Philipps' family who are direct descendents of Sir John Wogan who built the Castle over 850 years ago.- 15 miles from the guest house and a 30 minute drive.
St David’s Cathedral
A little further drive is St David’s Cathedral – about an hour in the car from the Guest House towards the North of Pembrokeshire. It is destination you should not miss the Cathedral and Bishops Palace are breathtaking and the drive up the coast is sensational.
